#17 International issue: loot box gambling
Many have asked are loot boxes in video games gambling? The gambling committee of Belgium seems to think so, calling for loot boxes to be banned in video games seeing as most are aimed at young children. This is not just a simple issue to resolve, video game micro transactions have become a billion dollar industry. Could the ban on loot boxes be the next video game crash or a bright sign for the future?
