#2 breaking news: white pride signs at Army v Navy football game

Shared via twitter some onlookers noticed some cadets in the background making hand signs to the camera and they appear to be handsigns signifying white supremacy. To this writer it more so looks like a hand sign called the circle game one plays with friends. You make a circle with forefinger and thumb with the other 3 splayed behind it and if a friend views it is usually met with laughter and a friendly punch to the arm. That being said this writer is also not knowledgeable on white supremacy hand signs.

#19 classmate critique: Jonah Rathburn

So as a budding new writer I live to look at all sorts of examples of of different writing styles, which brought me to Jonah’s blog. After reading some of Jonah’s blogs I came across a thought that I found interesting as a non-professional writer he does a fantastic job of injecting enough of himself into his writing without coming across as pretentious or narcissistic. While reading his blogs one can tell he does a great amount of research into the topics he covers and truly enjoys writing. https://blog-barker.blogspot.com/?m=1 After reading his post about the upcoming Witcher television show, as a fan of the books and games myself, I’m even more excited for the show to drop on December 20th.

Final Project Visual journalism - Karaoke: dying trend or thriving

Karaoke is something a majority of people have done, Will do, or want to do...generally. Is Karaoke dying out though? Personally think not. In many countries such as Japan and China karaoke is a thriving business. A popular of karaoke where you rent a private room for yourself and friends and just have a good time. Well this business model has made its way to Arkansas and I went and gave it a go myself( wife, mom, and friends included). Big Box Karaoke as this particular business is called was a blast to attend
As we walked in it was intimately lit and had multiple staff greet us as we entered immediately a great first impression

What was pretty cool as well wasn’t the the 70,000+ songs available but that you could go to their website pick what songs you wanted and add it to your que
So it made picking your favorite artist or song very easy and very accessible and in my opinion very catering to a younger generation of fun seeking friends
The rooms were spacious and very selfie friendly which once again was something very young folk friendly
So I obliged
The screens were very clear the sound was not to heavy on music over microphone
And their menus were sporting interesting takes on Japanese foods such tots made from kimchi

Over all it was a great experience and something I definitely would love to do again and highly recommend it.

#11 Civics: becoming a citizen?

The United States of America, the home of the free, the brave, the really really really long application process. So if you are interested in becoming a citizen it’s probably gonna take a while. Five years of having a green card, applying for naturalization which takes another ten months to receive a reply to, attending a citizenship interview which can take another 4 months, receiving a decision on your application which can take up to another 4 months, taking an oath of allegiance which can take another month and a half. So becoming a citizen is really easy like almost 7 years easy.
